| As with ordinary tiling it is usual to grout the joints in between the tesserae. We vary grout colour according to the mosaic colours. We use darker grout with darker mosaic and lighter grout for paler mosaic to bring cohesion to the design. In decorative mosaic you might consider leaving the joints ungrouted. We recommend powder grouts that you mix into a paste with water. Both Granfix (a smooth grout) and Ardex C2 (which has a slightly grainier finish) will cover approx. 0.75 m/2 per kg depending on your tile sizes and the size of the gaps between them. |
