Natalies first encounter with mosaics was in Athens, Greece where she saw the outside wall of a Church decorated with Byzantine style mosaics. It was only 20 years later that she studied it first with Sarit Plitz-Granot in Tel Aviv, Israel. she then took workshops with Emma Biggs in London and at West Dean College. Although the themes of her pieces can vary from portraits, city scenes and landscape there is always a subtle connection between them.
